Whats the deal with high resolution and Low Resolution addon cars in NR
2003?

I mean, I know what they are, I guess my question is can you run a field
with both High Res and Low Res cars simultaniously?

And how much of a FPS hit do Hi-Res cars cause?

I'm running a GeForce 4 Ti4200 and Athlon 2200+.  Is that enough to push a
full field of High Res add ons (with say 16 cars ahead)?

Yes you can mix & match high & low res cars.  I think your system will be
fine w/ 16 high res cars ahead.
Best way to check the fps hit is to have both versions avail that u can swap
in & out of your /cars dir.  then you can test to see the diff in
performance.
