GP2 Quickrace Setup

Could someone clarify for me which car setup is loaded in GP2 when you
go to Quickrace?  I had always thought that the setup used was the
last one you had loaded for that circuit, but now I'm not so sure.

I was running Hungary, Practice Any Circuit, with my race setup, 25
laps worth of fuel, running consistant laps in the high 1:19s-low
1:20s. Handling was good and well balanced.  Went into Quickrace, same
fuel load and the car handled like a pig.  Couldn't get below 1:23,
and understeering terribly.  I'm sure it wasn't the same setup.

Went back to Practice, loaded my qualifying setup which is good for
about two flying laps before the plank starts dragging. Then went back
into Quickrace and ran about 15 laps of the race and the plank stayed
intact.  So, this obviously was not my qualifying setup that was being
used!

The question is, what setup is being used, and is there a way to force
GP2 to use a particular setup in Quickrace???

Thanks,

IJM

Go to the DRIVE OPTIONS menu on the second page.  Click the car setup
button on the bottom left of the screen.  You can load any setup, even
ones from another track.  If you are looking for a good gp2 series, the
Starting Grid is great for complete realism, run against the clock, 100%
race distance.  E-mail for the URL.  Steve

You must remmember that for unlimited practice, and qualifying, your bhp
will be set to 780. For practicing and racing, it will be set to 770.
(If i'm wrong someone correct me).

Also you probably have the option checked in your setup screen which asks
you if you want seperate qualifying and race setups.

I'll do it :-)

Qualifying 790
Practice/race 780

But when you start in the pits or when you start a race, the game deducts at
random 1-7 BHP from that value (to simulate different atmospheric and track
conditions if you want)
