Psygnosis F1 Champ Edition: New racing game?

I saw a New F1 game by Psygnosis. I almost bought it
because it had a***pit view :-) Does it fix the problems
with the original game? Like lack of the ability to save
settings from one session to the next?

If you live in the USA it's called champ edition, but in Europe something
else
but take a look at their site:

It's just a slightly enhanced version with a***pit view lacking
mirrors and gauges. The physics are supposed to be better, but if
you didn't like the first one, skip this one, too!

corner.  Pass.

Sounds like they still haven't fixed it from the original version of the
game.

13 hours total (including sleep). Actual game play time was
probably 1.5...

I seemed to have more fun with the demo :-)

That's about how long I kept it.

Well, if it's any help, I can think of several ways the word "ass" could be
used to help describe the original version. :-)  On the bright side, this
version couldn't possibly be *worse* than the original . . . could it?  Sure
isn't much being said about it, is there?  And I'm not about to suggest
someone run out and buy it just so they can give us a review.  I don't want
to be held responsible.

Psygnosis F1 Champ Edition: New racing game?

F1 97 , (Champ edition in the US)
DON'T UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE BUY THIS GAME

I recieved a copy with my Monster 3D card. The game as a sim is absolutely
terrible. The***pit view is very poor , the sound is poor, and the
gameplay is the absolute worst ever. It seems to have a very exaggerated
reduce with speed facility on the steering, at high speed full lock on the
steering wheel gives very little change to direction, whereas at low speed
the slightest input from the steering gives full lock. There are very few
setup options. IMO the original F1 from Psygnosis, which I had on the PSX
was a more realistic sim when used with a wheel and pedals setup. The games
only redeeming features are the commentaries (although they become
repetitive quickly), and a fun arcade version. (But this is
rec.autos.simulators) I had it installed for less than 2 hours on my PC.
IMO stick with GP2 , F1rs or especially GPL ( when it's released).
