Does any one know a program to open up a car file in Nascar 1999?   Does any
one a tutorial on how to use paintshop pro to paint you car?  The main problem
I have is that paintshop pro will not recognize the car file.

What you have to do, Phil, is to export the car file, from inside the paint
shop in the game, as a tga, then open that tga in paibtshop pro, and finally
re-import it back into the game. PSP won't open a car file, it'll only open
the tga.
(and, in N99, or N3, you have to be really careful not to go over the edges,
or save in too many colours, or go over the little coloured strip at the
bottom....!)

If all you want to do is paint a car, then no need to open the .car file

Simply go into the paintshop in the game, choose the car you want to
paint and use the "export" button....or something similar

In your "cars" folder you should now have a .pcx file of said car which
you can paint using Paintshop PRO.....you're on your own from there
though, that's as far as I get with painting usually :-)
