GP2 Bug at Brazil

GP2 Bug at Brazil

When trying to run a full length race at Brazil there seems to be a bug
as I can not pull into the pits for a pit stop. I cross over the yellow
line to enter the pits but just before I get to the entrance the car
veers back out onto the track. No amount of steering input helps. Is
this a known bug? I just got the game a couple of weeks ago so I
apologize if this has already been discussed.

Thanks,
Rodney Hudlow

You have to explicitly tell your pitcrew that you are coming in.
Press the Enter/Return key (the main one, not the numeric keypad
one) and on the lower right hand side of your***pit a pair of
lights will light up yellow. Then you can enter the pits.
These automatically come on when you have damage, or need fuel, new
tyres or are out of qualifying session laps.
RTFM!!!

Right about the key, and the light.  It's most likely steering help that is
forcing the car back on to the track.  With steering help off, you can
point the thing anywhere you like.

It does help, as you say Rob, to let your crew know, especially in a
race, since they won't be ready for you and you'll look like an idiot on
the television broadcast.  You don't need to in practice or qualifying.

Imagine : Crew sitting in pit garage, watching the race on TV.  The
TV is covering another car, so the first thing they know is your car
rocking up and you screaming at them to put on some tires and
top up the tank.  Of course, they'd rather watch the tele than help
that rude driver who abuses the car anyway.

He is right. There is a bug.

Even when your 'pullled in' your car suddenly tries to get back on
circuit, and often it nearly puts you in the pir barrier.
Tricky.

Turn off "steering help" (and "opposite lock" for a real simulation) under
Controls menu (you need to go to "advanced" section).  This will allow you to
pit anytime you want, and won't pull you in when the Pit light is on.

Whether you have steering help on or not, all you need to do is hit the
enter key on your keyboard.  This notifies your pit you want to come in.
You should then be able to go into the pits.
