NFS III and dashboard question

NFS III and dashboard question

Does Need For Speed 3 (Hot Pursuit) have in-car views with the dashboard? I
can't find anything in the game that mentions it, but the catalog that came
with NFS 4 shows an in-car view from inside the Jaguar, complete with
dashboard. Is this something that never made it to production or am I
missing something?

I believe you have to have more than 8Mb of video memory to get the
dashboard option.

Try running it in direct 3d mode, or downloading the voodoo3 patch (though I
never could get the voodoo3 patch to work myself)

Seems to me I remember asking this questions right after the game was
released and ymenard told me that they yanked the***pits out at the last
moment, but didn't change the graphics on the back of the box.

NFS III definitely has in-car dashboard views. Make sure that the
option "Limit memory to 2 mg for Glide apps" (something like that) on
your Voodoo set-up is not checked. That did it for me.

I have NFS III (not sure about the Hot Pursuit part) and had the problem
of no in-car view.  Found that it was because I had set my V2 to maximum
of 2 megs for texture memory.  Does the V3 have something similar?
