The guy behind me tried to win the race on the first lap. Seemed intent to
glue his Cooper to my gearbox through Burnenville and failed to compensate
for latency when braking for Malmedy. Game over.

He can count himself very lucky this was a virtual race. If it had been a
real one he could have counted himself lucky I wouldn't have survived the
wreck. I'm pretty sure I could have ***d him on the spot otherwise.

His "sry ;-(" comment sent me through the roof. As if the gentleman racer
ethos, pretty big among online GPL-ers, makes it alright to ruin someone's
race provided one types this lame 3-lettre combination right after causing
an incident. Pathetic.

See ya in Germany.

Jan.

I don't drink.  And, watching a room of people who don't know when to say when
isn't my idea of an entertaining evening...<g>

I had a great time yesterday as well, I got home at about 6 am. Just
in time for a two hour nap before sending my sisters to the airport.

Woke up 4 and a half hour later, 2 hours before the flight departure,
panic time. My sisters starts packing in a really hurried manner, I
have to run to an ATM to get money for the taxi I grab on the way back
and tell the driver to wait outside the house. When we get to the
in-town checkin counter it is closed, they get my sisters names and we
head for the airport express, trying to reach the checkin counter at
the airport in time.  The plane will not wait they tell us as we run
for the train.  On the train I discover that the departure has been
moved ahead 15 minutes and we agree that I will send the luggage by
mail if neccesary.  We get to the airport and start running around
trying to locate the right counter. Finally we find it and everything
goes smoothly from then on, no lines there for some reason... They
check in, (35 minutes before departure.) and I head back into town.

Nice start to the new year.

PS.: can you <bleep> believe I had to queue for 30 mins at the bakery this
morning because of the Euro thing? -Baker had his prices and till sorted,
but the customers were all over the place. People can be *so* stupid at
times.
