Why Live for Speed is so good

Something developers should learn from LFS is, that you dont have to have
the most ***, most powerful and quickest cars to have a good racing game.
I much prefer driving street oriented cars over F1 or other fullon race
cars. It also shows that you dont have to have real tracks to have a blast.
Top work, cant wait till somebody brings out a few new cars and tracks :)

I agree with you about this. Theres a lot to be said for "showroom stock"
type sedan raceing even in the sim world. For one thing, as long as the sim
is coded to give good feedback (which Live for Speed definitely is) so that
the sensation of speed is available then the slower spees of the sedans give
you more time to concentrate on raceing rather than on the "twitch" aspects
of dealing with sudden graphics and updates.

As far as fantasy tracks go I do tend to prefer tracks modelled after real
life ones if only for the Walter Mitty factor. However I certainly prefer to
see developers  spending their limited budgets on makeing sure the sim works
well in all circumstances than spending the same money in makeing the FIA,
NASCAR, Bernie , etc, etc. any richer than they already are. A well thought
out fantasy track can easily offer an equivalent raceing experience to all
but the very best real track simulations.

Kudos to the guys at Live for Speed. A great job and a pleasant surprise.
Looking forward to seeing the final version of this one.
