Hope Lost for CMR3....

When they first announced CMR3, I was really e***d. After lots and lots of
fun with Rally Trophy, I was hoping CMR3 would do-away with the terrible
physics problems in CMR2 and adopt similar physics of Rally Trophy, but
applied to modern day WRC Cars.

The early screenshots looked amazing.... then it was all downhill from there
it seems.

They announced the car listing a few days ago, and it was fairly
disappointing. Instead of doing all the World Rally cars, they did a few and
some random selection of other cars some older some new. Really strange...
but that's not that bad of a thing.

Then the videos came out...

The graphics do look amazing, on screenshots.. but as soon as you see those
cars moving, everything is wrong. It seems that the
single-wheel-in-the-center physics are back. The strange problem of the car
drifting to the inside after a corner (which I first saw mention of on IGN's
review) is still back. The speeds look wrong to me, and the mass of the cars
doesn't seem quite right to me. Granted, I've only been playing Rally sims
for 2-3 years, but I've watched a decent amount of Rally on TV and I think I
should be able to compare what I see between the two.

Anyways, check out the video on IGN or anywhere else. I think it's titled 03
and it focuses on cars. about 14 seconds into it, when the subaru goes
around the corner and hits the curb and gets strangely redirected and then
does more weird stuff.. it stays pretty bad for another 10 seconds after
that. I swear to god, the wheels on the car are not interacting with the
ground or something... It reminds me of how the cars in Super-Sprint drive.
