Hi Everyone!
It finally happend: Formula One Grand Prix 2 is released in Germany!
The "Karstadt" stores allready have it, I held the package in my hands
today!
Unfortunatelly all other stores will get it on monday due to a special
contract between Karstadt and Microprose, but anyway: The waiting is
over, so drive to your local Karstadt or wait till next week and enyoj!
Who ever thougt that this will happen?

Well, todays last boat to Germany leaves Gothenburg in 5 minutes.
Fortunately I can't make it. Otherwise I might have done something foolish!

I don't understand why Spectrum Holobyte can't just release the game
worldwide at the SAME TIME?

I went to Karstadt in ESSEN. There was a hugo ammount of gp2 boxes for
sale at 99,95DM.

I had read the news about F1GP2 available at Karstadt shops saturday,
jumped into my car, drove to the next Karstadt shop in Lbeck
(germany) and it was there. It is a "Limited Edition" with mousepad
and it is really great. I have a Pentium 133 with Hercules Dynamite
128 and it runs with all textures without sky on and some textures in
mirrors with 18 fps. The feeling of driving is fantastic and the sound
is very nice. F1GP without steering help is very hard to drive, on
F1GP2 it works so much better. I have Thrustmaster T2 with shift
buttons on the wheel and the feeling of driving ist very realistic.

The trouble is, the new P166 I ordered two weeks ago has not yet
arrived. :-( But it is still a blast on the old 486DX4/66, running in
SVGA with detail set to automatic. Needless to say, this machine cannot
do justice to the graphics, but the driving is so much fun!
The only problem I have is that I don't know German. Why do they make
an exclusive German version while putting several other languages on
another disk? I guess they must have their reasons. I only wish they
had included English as an option, but that is probably too much to ask.
Maybe I should just start learning German again. Or maybe anybody want
to trade?
Can't wait for my new machine. Have fun, everybody!

I live approx 30 miles from microprose and have been in constant touch it
is being relised on the 19 july i do not for 1 min think they would have
pre released it in Germany why would they. if you do have a copy please
give me some positive prof (Scaned images of you playing it on your pc ect
) So as i can sue
