Banshee solution

Recently I posted  a situyation where I could not get my
Creative Labs Banshee Blaster (16mg) to work properly. After
about 1 hour the textures started to break down. Heat,
seemed to be the problem.
My dealer suggested adding a fan. I opted instead to change
grahics cards to a Canopus Pure 3d card.

Situation resolved and i might add that the graphics are
even more stunning.
I know that they are expensive, but they certainly are of
higher quality then the CL cards.

BTW I sent CL a message asking for help to resolve my
problem and now 5 days later do not have a response from
them. In this day and age of customer service they score a
big fat ZERO with me. One lost sale.

Tony...

Is the Canopus card also a Banshee chip card?

I also have the Blaster Banshee and generally like it, but have seemingly
heat-related texture problems also. How does the cost of the two cards
compare? How's the Canopus software?

Thanks.

P.S. Stop posting those "overnight success" stories, you're making me
question my worth as a human being. ;-)

Jack it is a stand alone card. I already had an ATI Expert 8 mg card so I
threw that back in.
The Canopus card is VERY expensive at $324 Cdn (about $2 US Dollars,,hehe,
really about $200 US)
The software is very easy to use and has Gamma settings, it also alows you to
save screen settings for various games.

I highly recommend it.

BTW no overnight success, 2 years of competitive GP2 set me up for this game.

Take Care
