GPL--A Work of Art

I've been running GPL for the last couple of hours--and already have
fallen in love.  Papyrus has done a fantastic job with the graphics,
sounds, and layout of this sim.  It runs well on my K6 233 (with a few
compromises of course).  And down the road I hope to gradually build
onto its modest home to create a worthy gallery for this work of art
(ie--about a 500 mhz processor and a 19inch monitor).  Too bad awesome
hardware doesn't  come quite as affordably as awesome pieces of
software!

Also, the documentation is very nice in GPL.  Just by reading the first
three pages of the "Racing Companion" I found the best single piece of
advice for handling one of these twitchy cars--stay on the gas through
corners.  In the demo I spent a lot of time trying to figure out why I
couldn't avoid spinning in rather ordinary turns.  It's because I was
driving these cars like I do ICR2 or NASCAR2--braking into and through
corners.  I can't wait to read the "Strategy Guide" cover to cover now.
Good job Papyrus and Sierra!
