Hi,

Imagine that during an actual live F1 race, information on the position
and speed of the cars participating in that race would be fed live to
the internet. Users of GP3 (or any *real* f1-sim) could log on to the
internet and receive this information. GP3 would then instantly convert
this information to a kind of replay mode, so that you can watch the
race live from within GP3. You would then be free to choose any camera
view you'd like... or follow the race inside the car of your favorite
driver.

Technically, it might be difficult to realise...but it would certainly
be worth it!

This would be great. The telemetry from every car is already being sent back
to the pits. Why not strip out some of it and feed it into a GP2 converter
thingy to do as Rop suggests. Sure it would be expensive, but image the
advertising dollars it could generate.....

It wouldn't even need to be live...just a huge replay file could be built
from telemetry from the track....and we could go to a page (with
advertising) and download it...

Cool idea, but seeing as the FIA wants F1 races to be shown on a pay per view
basis in the near future, this probably has zero chance of happening.  Cool
idea though

This could not run in real time because the data is fed back only
when passing the pits, but i guess it could be streamed in some
way nice idea says twr i will just log on to the net to check see
how much fuel the Jordan team are running!!.

so  FIA wants F1 races as pay per view....what a joke - F1 races are
boring - don't flame me - i'm a huge GP2 fan, but the racing IS boring -
unlike British Touring Cars.
