Car physics - wheel lock

by Ruud van Ga » Tue, 30 Jan 2001 23:02:08

Hi all,

I have a simple and stupid question, but is wheel lock generally
specified as being full left-to-right, or just left-to-center (and
center-to-right)?

So if I have a lock of 30 degrees, can I turn the wheels 15 degrees
left and 15 degrees right, or can I turn 30 degrees both ways?

While on-topic, are there configurations which use something like 14
degrees left, 16 degrees right? (this might be useful on ovals)

Thanks,

It's full left to full right.

Not that I'm aware of, I don't think it would be helpful.
