Hi Tom, (fancy meeting you here! - Mark Gauntlett, Bro Taf HA)

Curses!  I was going to go to the show but changed my mind at the last
minute.  It would have been worth it just to see CMR2.  Did they give a
release date?

from the quick look i had it looked to have the same sort of improvement
from CMR1 that we had from TOCA to TOCA2 - i.e. more of the same, but
sharper - not graphically as realistic as Rally Championship but still good
and i guess (though i didn't get the chance to have a go) more satisfying
physics than RC. as well as wider roads and the Focus, of course, which is
the main thing

the funniest thing was all the little (and big) kiddies running up and
saying "look, it's the Playstation rally game"

btw, did you see the Group B cars in the live action show?

I was one of the beta testers for RC and was a bit dissapointed with the
final product. Having done the real thing for the last 15 yrs I don't want a
simulator 'cos it can't be done. I want a great game and CMR was/is that. RC
trues too hard to be a simulator. The physics aren't as good as CMR but the
graphics are superb. CMR-2 graphics look as good, so if the physics have
stayed true to the original I'll be buying it in 'Late Spring' which is the
date they gave. I did'nt get to play it there was a 50 deep queue but I
spent more time that  my wife thought I should watching it on the lovely
wide-screen plasma disply !

I didn't get to the show but I heard some marshal got T-boned by an S4 Delta
!! 'spose tomorrows MotNews will tell all !
