I use a T2 for use with my copy of GP2. The thing is that, I dont wanna
have to reach over to shift gears (So its more realistic to real F1) . I'd
rather use buttons. I know that there are buttons located on the T-2 to
the right of the wheel, but it seems very uncomfortable to shift. Does
anybody know a wheel with buttons located on the actual wheel? Thank you!

you!
I have a Quickshot Aviator 5 yoke, which is called quite differently in
the USA; it's quite cheap but works fine, and has the real shape of most
drivers'wheels; you will have to use anyway pedals from your t2

I just mounted two pushbuttons on the T2 steering wheel.  If you dare, simply
run wire to the T2 buttons out thru the case onto the pushbuttons.  Oh, and
make sure they're "off normally", "on when pushed" buttons.  Watch where you
route the wire so as not to interfere with the steering column mechanism.
Buttons-US$1.45 each, wire-US$0.50, solder, solder gun, drill and some patience
and creativity.

I found a site 'Wallys World' which is pretty damn fine.  It has a
heap of instructions on how j/sticks work and adjustments/mods on
existing stuff (Including putting the buttons onto a T2 wheel).  Even
a complete (including pictures) set of instructions on how to build
your own controllers.
(No, I'm no relation, not on commision or anything, just sharing the
good news)
Anyway, the site is  http://www.oz.net/~wottenad

check it out if your interested.

I own the ECCI CDS system, which has 4 buttons located 2 on either
side within very comfortable reach of your thumbs. They are quite
small but you can achieve VERY rapid up/down shifts. I personally rate
this as quite important coming into very slow 1st gear corners. In a
recent steering wheel group test I found them the best from a choice
of CDS, TSW and a GP500 (which has excellent shifters BEHIND the
wheel!).

Check out the following URL for more details, it really is an
excellent driving system.

yes !
i've found it a week ago, and i am now building
my own controller. The wheel is working, i'm
now working on the pedals. And believe me,
it will be rock solid!
IMO, it's worth it, since mine will cost
something like 50 Francs (~10 US $), plus
some sweat and beer ... ;)

again: have a look at this nice site!
