Rave Racer ROM and emu links

Some of you asked for links to the Rave Racer ROM a few weeks ago. It
was not released then, but now it is. :)

The new ver. of VivaNonno System22 emulator to run Rave Racer:
 http://www.racesimcentral.net/

Rave Racer ROM links:
http://www.racesimcentral.net/
http://www.racesimcentral.net/

OR
http://www.racesimcentral.net/  [ search for RV2 ]

USENET users: check alt.binaries.emulators.misc

IRC users: get on a Newnet server (irc.newnet.net)
port: 6667 channel: #emuchina
type: !Viva Rave Racer
in new box type: [dir] then [get RV2.zip]  without []
(in Mirc, in the server list "Newnet: Random Server" usually works)

In filemirrors, usenet and irc, you can also find Ridge Racer 1 (works
but incorrect crc resulting in botched but still good grafx) and Ridge
Racer 2
(perfect dump!)

WinXP users: To reach graphics & audio settings: rightclick on
VivaNonno Icon(the exe) click properties, goto compatability tab,
switch to Win80 or Win2000
mode.

Graphics Settings notes: 98% of users cannot get "no texture reduce"
meaning full arcade resolution textures, in Rave Racer. seems only a
few have, and those that did, have 128 MB video cards and 512MB or
more system memory.  Expect only 1/2 texture reduce to work.  Also,
use "No Wait" in combination with fullscreen [ATL+ENTER] to lock at
60fps on fast machines - turn mipmapping and texture filter OFF, Fake
Interlace ON to more closely approximate arcade.  Turning OFF sound
boosts framerate.

Ridge Racer Long track IS selectable without an analog controller or
steering wheel. its just harder to do. you gotta rapidly toggle the
track selection and you'll sometimes get lucky :)

Major props to TheGuru, Kai, and VivaNonno team

Guru's page: http://www.racesimcentral.net/
VivaNonno's page: http://www.racesimcentral.net/

if any info here is incorrect, I appologize.

Rave Racer fans - your day has arrived. :)

My screen loaded up with them.  I hadn't installed Popup-Stopper on the
Terminal Server that I use to access newsgroups yet.

When I see that, I just leave the page.  I lose interest in what I was
after.

Are you using Mozilla ?
