What kind of frames to you guys get here?  I sometimes get 60fps, but then
when all those RASCAR posts come floating in, my frames drop to below 30.

I'm thinking of starting a petition to keep the frames here at 25.

What does everyone think?  Am I wasting my time?

I'll sign any petition, me. If someone have gone to the trouble of
organizing one, then the least I can do is sign it. :)

Well I guess I wouldn't have expected deep thought to have reached your
part of the world John :)

Well, I know what the 42 is for, but 7x7 is 49 which is not the
answer to everything. :)

However, it seems that I may have missed the intent of the 7x7
reference.  Have pity on me and explain yourself. :)

Some time ago a group of hyper-intelligent pan dimensional beings decided
to finally answer the great question of Life, The Universe and Everything.
To this end they built an incredibly powerful computer, Deep Thought. After
the great computer programme had run (a very quick seven and a half million
years) the answer was announced.
The Ultimate answer to Life, the Universe and Everything is...
(You're not going to like it...)
Is...
42
Which suggests that what you really need to know is 'What was the
Question?'.
The great computer kindly pointed out that what the problem really was that
no-one knew the question. Accordingly, the computer designed its successor,
the Earth, to find the question to the ultimate answer.
However, due to a slight Golgafrincham problem, and a small hooha with some
Vogons the program went a bit wrong. The whole problem remains just as
mysterious as it always has been, but a little more frustrating.

So now you know...

Cheers

The composition of my answers is NEVER randomly chosen.  Sometimes,
they may be *poorly* chosen (depending on who you ask), but they are
NEVER random.

Like I said, I know about 42. What I *don't* understand is the "7x7"
part of your original response.  Did you mean to type "7x6" (which is
"42"), or is there some nefarious and as yet hidden meaning to "7x7"?

Yes but what is the question to which the answer is 42?...

Remember that in discovering the question to the ultimate answer "due to a
slight Golgafrincham problem, and a small hooha with some Vogons the
program went a bit wrong"

My immediate recollection of the question (from the Hitchikers Guide for
those still wondering what the hell this is about) was 7x7. But on further
thought I think it may have been 9x6 - don't say 54 John :)

Anyway the important thing was that the computation of the ultimate
question didn't make 42 !!

There are many theories about why Douglas Adams chose 42 (e.g. 42 is 9x6 in
base 13) but D.A. simply chose it as a "nice" number.

Glad you asked, John?

Cheers

It's been YEARS since I read that book, so the only applicable answer
I can come up with is "aaaahhhhhh".  I know - not as colorful as
usual, but it's the best I can do right now. :)

Ok, then it's 'an artfully composed string' :)
