Does anyone know if it is possible to get the Thrustmaster T2
to work with Sega's Daytona USA?

I had my T1 working. You need to use the beige axis converter because
Win 95 can only calibrate if the axis are x+y. You also need to got to
the controls section and change the button assignment, it defaults to
use the pedals for shifting and buttons for accelerate/brake. After I
got it all working I took it back to EB its just no fun for me after
playing GP2 and NASCAR.

You can set it up by using the buttons setup.  ie  up=accelerate down=brake
etc.  This game really sucks so don't bother.  Your at either full gas, no
gas, or full brake and full left, center, or full right.  I had the game
less than an hour before I took it back.

        OR
"No" - the T2 doesn't work with Daytona?

PS - Maybe if your next posting isn't quite as brief, we might have a
hope of understanding it ;)

I knew it was a loser in 10 minutes... as soon as I found out it didn't
support the T2.  This game is a surprise after playing their conversion of
Virtua Figher.  They obviously must think we are idiots, or blind, or rich,
or ...  Actually I thought the release was a bad joke or something.(where's
that hidden camera)

The ThrustMaster T1,T2, and the GP1 will work with Daytona USA, but you
have to go to the buttons option and change the first two options to
accelerate and brake (and you have to use the white or black adapter plug
that came with your racing controller).  I agree with what someone else
posted, the handling is really bad, and on top of that, you have to set
the controls every time you play, Daytona USA does not save the controller
settings on exit, and when you re-run the game, the settings go back to
its original defaults.  This is a definite bug!  Sega should release a
patch to fix the handling and controller save options if they even hope to
sell this product!

TO GET DAYTONA USA to somewhat work with WHEEL controllers:

I got the Daytona to work with my TSW wheel controller by selecting
gamepad option(third selection down. Then going into BUTTON ASSIGN and
setting the following:

  UP      = accelerate
  DOWN    = brake
  button1 = shift up
  button2 = shift down

all the rest set to NOT USED.

I then could use my pedals to accelerate and brake. Not very good
but at least it works.

Also select the cars with grip and traction indicated = A
They handle better

When you have the gamepad selected to go though the menu selections
you use the wheel itself to select items. Then hit return to go on to
next menu.

The only track that is a challange is the third or most difficult track.
You start last out of 40 cars and try to catch all the cars before end
of race. Kind of a dumb game but it is somewhat entertaining.
