Glide on Creative Labs TNT [3:00 pm] - Huntsman
BetaBites (www.betanews.com) sent word of Creative Labs releasing a beta
"unified driver" for thier Riva TNT product. What is unified?

the Unified Driver allows Graphics Blaster RIVA TNT owners to run many of
the games which support 3D acceleration only via the Glide? API.

This = "cool". I'm sure 3Dfx will have a heart attack though. I've got a
Creative Labs card on my box at home, so I'll give it whirl tonight and
report back my findings in the morning

Anyway, this could be good news for anyone with a TNT if it works on all
reference boards. I have a Creative card anyway :)

It's been posted to alt.comp.periphs.videocards.nvidia if you want to
bypass Creative's serial number requirement. I hear that it is also on
http://www.glideunderground.com/. I installed it (I have a Creative
TNT) but it replaced some of my Voodoo 2 drivers and resulted in a
black screen with GPL. Since that wouldn't do, I reinstalled my Voodoo
2 drivers and am back to normal.
