From past experience (not just with MotorSport) I think that your chances
would be next to zero. It is nearly impossible to have an article (as
opposed to a letter) published, within a reasonable time-frame, that has not
been "invited".
Specialist magazines are absolutely inundated with requests for articles and
are bombarded by prospective authors, each with their own special interest.
I know from experience just how ***y frustrating it can be in getting
something that one is keen about into print.
But don't let me act as a wet rag..........send an article in and keep your
fingers crossed.
