The "very fast steering ratio while stopped" ramps to the steering ratio
you specify on the setup sheet at a medium-low speed (it can't just jump at
a particular speed - step changes are horrible).  So, yes, it generally
does have an effect in hairpin corners.  And, yes, this is by design.

It's a very good effect - well done.  It's sort of a
"reduce with speed" steering option, but one that operates
at the other end of the speedometer.

You tell me.  I guess it's not really an option though
because you can't change it.  It should be a standard
feature for sims though.

I sure hope so!  I asked earlier if any current PC sims even attempt
to simulate understeer/oversteer - do you know if any do?
