So the Linux driver ignores all the good stuff the PDPI card will do?  I
didn't really look into it very much.  Just pulled the source and dug around
briefly.  That's too bad.

Yes - if the Linux, at least that's what it looks to be given some of the
Linux drivers that say it supports the PDPI. BTW, where did you get the
Linux driver source to this driver? I'd be interested to see if it's any
different from the ones I've seen.

I believe this is the driver I had looked at:
http://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~vojtech/input/   In regards to the PDPI
implementation, I don't think there's been much change since the original
'linux joystick driver' found here:
http://atrey.karlin.mff.cuni.cz/~vojtech/joystick/
