well there are still many of us that can't run the new road courses in
nr2003.

it will load and run converted, and downloaded road courses.  the sim will
even run watkins and sears from nr2002.

what i'm wondering now from folk that can run the newer courses, oh wait.
Tom already gave a good review of sears.... nevermind....

anyhow, it seems there must be one little bitty thing in the new rc files
that are keeping we ati users from those courses...

I have an ATI 9700 Pro and have no problem running Infineon.  Worked fine
with Cat 3.0a and 3.1.  Never had a problem so I'm guessing it may be
something causing your ctd other than the video card.  Have you tried
reinstalling NR2003?

No problems for me with my ATI 9700 pro.  I'm thinking it must be a combo of
parts, not just the ATI card. I have an Nforce2 based mobo and a AMD xp2100
cpu.

Mine's an Epox KT400.  Seems strange it just happens on road courses but
must be some bug in the program for certain hardware combos.

I also have a KT400 (puke) based MoBo, no problems....or rather, other
than the usual problems with VIA chip sets :-), ordered an nForce2 based
board today, what's the world coming to eh, me, ordering an nVidia
product for myself.....is it me or is it damn cold ?

I think I _might_ have read somewhere that those with the 3.1 drivers AND an
nForce based motherboard are the one's not seeing this issue.

It's a bit fuzzy though :)

So far as I have read here,  only those guys with Nforce2 boards are not
having problems.  Of course there may be plenty more who just haven't
posted, but a survey may be needed to try and pin down what works and what
doesn't.

I have a 9700 Pro with an nForce2 chipset board and using cat 3.1.  I've
had no problems with any RC, including the NR2003 converted courses.

Well, my motherboard is a KT400 and I don't have problems with road courses
either.  I don't think it's a motherboard issue. Maybe a sound card issue?
