Thrustmaster Formula1, Help Required

Can anyone please help with the following problem.
I have been loaned a Thrustmaster Formula 1 steering wheel, and have a
problem with Grand Prix Legends, Need for speed III, and other racing sims
in my possession.
I can calibrate the wheel no problem, but during playing the above games, if
I make contact with the barrier or with another car the steering wheel seems
to loose it's calibration settings. The steering pulls to the left or right,
and when the wheel is at it's centre rest position, still looks as if I am
turning the wheel. I have to re-calibrate and all is ok until contact is
made again.
This fault is not due to bent suspension as a shift R in GPL does not cure
the problem.

Many thanks, Andy

Andy,

Try driving with damage off? Shift-R doesn't cure crash damage... does it?

Shift-R mends everything including blown engines and lost wheels - at least
for me.
