"| CART 2003

Until all of the contracts have been signed, and the negotiations finalized,
we will keep this page to a bare minimum. Basically, there is a new CART
sim, "in-the-works". There will always be speculation, and we can not stop
that, but for all intensive purposes, we as a developer, must stay quiet on
this until it becomes official. Thank you! "

If you knew the spec of the machines that were running the screenshots we've
all seen - you'd be VERY pleasently supprised.

Through a non sim-racing grapevine I heard that nVidia are amazed with what
Chris has been doing optimising code etc etc.

The CART sim that's been apparently been in development by ISI and
friends the last several months:

http://www.champweb.net/gamedevweb/

Click on 'Cart 2003' for what he posted, and the message board for
some random teasers posted by people working on the game.

Wouldn't expect much from someone who could write that.  Rik Zeppelin isn't the
idiot who wrote it, he was quoting a press release.

Mind you the Subject is grammatically incorrect come to that, should be
'Too' and 'west's' should have a capital letter :)

And there should be no apostrophe in "Wests." (An apostrophe denotes a
possessive word or a contraction.)

Maybe he just happens to have intensive purposes.  Since ISI and EA
are apparently directly involved in CART 2003, maybe the people at
champweb are more involved with the overall design of the product
rather than the technical work.  Software designers can be pretty
intense guys, with highly intensive purposes.

As far as being skeptical about Cart 2003 goes, I'm worried because I
haven't found any of the ISI games to be very good.  Someday Sierra
will wake up and let Papy develop a new open wheeled sim.
