I know that we're all tired of someone asking "why can't GPL do this or do
that?" but I'll ask anyway.  Is there anyway to have the pitboard update
realtime?  How bout listing 10th of a second accuracy?  How bout lap tiems
and split times?  This would be extemely helpful during the multiplayer
races.  I don't know a hell of lot about programmnig and don't know how
difficult it would be to get at that code but after seeing a D3D patch it
seems like anything is possible for this everlasting sim.

Now I know that this wouldn't be historically accurate to have this real
time information but it would be way cool and a huge aid in trying to better
those times to improve in rank.

Thanks for listening,

Jcharm

Yes, it's not a problem at all, u just have to edit section "pit_board" in
your .e.g. monza.ini file

I tried this, in the track.ini file in the moza directory (there is no
monza.ini). There was no pit_board section, though the pit_lane0 section
does have a  pit_board entry. Unfortunately this entry refers only to the
position of the pit board, not to it's updating method. Is there some other
way to do this?

Thanks,
Sky

I would like this too. So much can happen in one lap, particularly on
Vroc, that you can't be sure the driver your board says is ahead of you
IS ahead of you. (He's probably in the hedge somewhere:)
Also you have to remember what the gap was in order to tell if you are
closing or dropping back.

So what do you edit Richie? I guess it's the longitude part or the
5440.0 bit in "pit_board = 30.2 5440.0 -100.0 100.0" ?
That sounds like the end of the lap to me so what, you make it 0000.0 or
something a few metres after?

I can't remember exactly now cause I'm in work not at home but you are right
it's all about this section, you have to add some meters to force the guy
with the flag to move on after the finish line :). I remember that all this
job took me about 10 minutes so I know you will manage with it without a
problem, too.
