Got to try the latest 3dfx demo for xcar.
Overall it seems like there on the right course but they still have a long way
to go IMO to reach Papy's level.
Graphically the game is ok for 3d accelerated stuff (nothing special however).
The performance wasn't that good though, having 15 cars in the field is a very
choppy experience. So that's a definate place to work on.
The control of the car (once I took the helps off) was decent sometimes and
quite bad other times. It's poor when trying to turn smoothly either it's not
enough it seems or way to much. The feel to me was just off. Could tell to
much of the AI due to limited play time.
Going through the options they seemed to include about everything the
competitors offer in a sim. Couldn't say how good they were since they were
not available.
Again their on the right track but there seems to be a lot of tweeking and
optimization ahead for them. If Bethdesa wants to contact me for more thoughts
feel free. I'm glad there are more companies getting serious about this.
