Dateline: Barcelona, March 4, 1998
Team Redwolf, currently racing in the Pro Class of the High
Gear Competition 98, is proud to announce its new partnership
with Thomas Enterprises, makers of the famous TSW (Thomas
Super Wheel). Team Owner Kathy Worcester and drivers Mirko
Raasch and Jeff Antley held their final meetings with
Trev Thomas in Barcelona this week to sign the deal.
"Obviously we're e***d about the sponsorship," Antley
remarked. "Even though we're a young, small team, we've
always felt we had the talent to be out front, and with the
best control systems available -- the TSW -- we'll finally
get the chance to find out."
Redwolf, team constructor, and Thomas Enterprises engineers
said they would get to work "as quickly as possible" to
integrate the new control systems into the RW-98s, but
could not make any estimates about when the upgraded cars
would be ready for competition.
Despite this, the familiar black cars will run the Circuito
de Catalunya with fresh paintjobs displaying the TSW logo.
Team Owner Kathy Worcester: "We wanted the new livery in
Barcelona so that everyone would know that we've changed our
name to Team TSW Redwolf. We look forward to a long
and mutually beneficial relationship with Thomas Enterprises."
