I think that would be a cool thing. An 8:15 lap at the ring as a windows
screensaver.
Personally I think I would like the 'rollbar' view. That would be a cool
screensaver at work.

I have no idea if its possible to create one but theres a lot of
talanted people out there...

Have you ever viewed a Nurb replay from the 'nose' view? It's a gas - you
get a real impression of speed!

If someone has a V3000 with video out, you can record it onto video or
something, and create an AVI off of it. And use some standard AVI
playing screensaver.

And how big would that AVI be?  100MB's or something?

I was able to convert a N2 lap (actually a 10 lap race) into a screensaver.  It
was an incredible pain but the end result was great.  I recorded it to have
multiple camera angles and all...looks like a real race from Texas (the track i
used).  It is however about 50MB in AVI format so size is definately an issue
here.

Somewhere on the net. A colleague of mine here at my company has
created an AVI screensaver once. Not by real programming, in fact. He
used some package; he's not in right now, so I can't ask him.
But it's out there...

Depends on your compression ratio and frame rate. If this gets high
ofcourse, you either have to have a lot of spare disk space, or use a
CD... But 100Mb for 8:15, may very well be bigger :)
