  The crashes are spectacular. I've seen cars practically
explode into pieces and be sliding down the track with no
wheels and only a third of the body parts left.
  As far as comparing ICR1, sorry, never owned it. Best to get
another opinion since I only own ICR2... or rather it owns me.

I wouldn't say the crashes are spectacular... ;)

I mean, although body parts fly off etc. your "survival capsule" is
firmly fixed to the ground. You can't put an inch between yourself and
the asphalt - unless you encounter one of those "close encounters"... ;)
