MPEG and Intergraph together?

by Allen Bo » Sun, 24 Nov 1996 04:00:00

I love playing Nascar and  i plan on playing Nascar2 alot. I am fixing to buy
a new computer and i wondered what to do about the video card. I plan on
getting the Reactor or one of its competitors. My dilemma is i also want full
screen MPEG. Can u have both? Could someone enlighten me on the subjuct? Also
i wondered what the difference is between a Pent. 200 and a Pent. 200 Pro? I
mostly use my computer for games and to surf the web..but i do use it some
for business. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

there is an article in the latest PC magazine on 3d boards.  They
liked this one a lot (I think it won Editors Choice), but I think they
said it sucked for mpeg

The article is wrong.  They did not realize that there was a bug in the
initial drivers where color and animated cursors turn off all 2D
acceleration.  Their tests said the card was dropping frames, while it
really does not.  The Reactor is a very fine card for full screen
video.
