What would probably give me the biggest speed boost? Right now I run a
Pentium 166 with 32 megabytes of RAM. Should I upgrade the RAM or the
proccesor? Thanks!

I would recommend a processor upgrade.  Of course a P2/450 with 32mb would

do better than your machine, but you would need to buy new RAM and case as

well.

Ps. Buying old EDO ram is not a good idea now anyway.

Check the specs on your motherboard and get a faster AMD K6 processor that
will max out the limits of your motherboard. :?

!!BOTH!!  Pentiums are aincient history for the *** world.  Pentium2s
will be going that way soon to.  This again is just for the ***
world.  Pentiums are still good for the general office work though.

If you get a K6-2 processor you can use the 66 Mhz ram in your computer, as
long as you run your processor on a 66 Mhz bus. Also you're more likely to
find a K6-2 Motherboard that supports your old ram, than a PII board which
generally use the 144 pin Dimms (you probably have 72 pin memory).
