TSW Bad customer relations?

by Preferred Custome » Wed, 11 Jun 1997 04:00:00

I will continue posting this until I recieve my money back from Trevor
Thomas (TSW).

I want everyone to know about the TSW crap.  I ordered a wheel the first
week of march.  They cashed my check march 8th.  I was told I would get one
of the last wheels in the batch if I got my check there.  I did, and I
didn't get it.  Ok, that's life someone else got their check there first.
Then I was told the new batch of wheels would start shipping mid april.  I
waited and waited and waited, NO wheel.  I emailed.  Then I was told I
would have it in 2 weeks.  I waited for 3 weeks e-mailed again.  Then I was
told some BS story about how some guy got 3 shipped to him and I would have
my wheel shipped out tuesday may 27th UPS 2day.  That would be thursday, I
waited until friday night.  I e-mailed again.  Now I'm a complainer says
Trevor Thomas.    What really set me off was that guys that ordered a wheel
in April GOT theirs in April!!!.   I wouldn't have minded if Trevor would
have just said that it would take until June to get my wheel.  The constant
lying  is what got to me.  Always being told I would get my wheel and it
never coming.  If you can't deliver on your promised  DON'T MAKE THEM!!!!

I just want to say that I've NEVER been yanked around by a company like
this before. I think it's bad customer relations and I hope none of you
other TSW orderies don't get treated like I did.

TSW Bad customer relations?

I have followed this post for a while and there is a lot of bashing
going on both sides but what seems to be forgotten is that a guy paid
for a wheel 3 months ago and has yet to receive it.  Other people have
received theirs in that time.  I know there are many people who will
vouch for Trevor Thomas's customer relations, but in this case they
leave a little to be desired.  It doesnt matter if 2000 people say
that were treated fairly, Sean hasnt been and he has been very patient
about it.  I would have already called the Better Business Bureau by
now.  I hope this situation gets resolved to everyones satisfaction.

His online behavior certainly hasn't shown the helpfulness and concern
that a vendor should have for his customers, nor anything remotely
approaching maturity. Sure, it's a cottage industry, but it won't even
be *that* if this is the way TSW does business.

Only my opinion, but I think Mr. Thomas owes Sean Higgins -- and a few
other people in this ng -- more than a wheel; he owes them a public
apology.

I had considered buying a TSW setup, and I'm sure it's an excellent
product, but after this open display of bad customer relations, I
wouldn't touch one. I've always felt (again, only my opinion) that when
you buy a product, you buy the company. I certainly don't buy this poor
attitude on the part of TSW's chief cook and bottlewasher.

Just wanted to say that I was "on the fence" trying to decide whether I
should buy an ECCI or a TSW wheel. After hearing some rumors like this
one and viewing the pictures (TSW wheel and facilities) at the TSW site I
decided to get the ECCI. I'm very satisfied with my decision! Now I just
have to get used to how much different it is from my old CH VPPro. The
ECCI is an extremely high quality piece of equipment that gives me
peace of mind.

Note to Trevor:
I've found that it's much better to tell a customer that they'll get
the product in 8 weeks and then get it to them in 7  rather
than tell them 6 and get it there in 7. Even though you still ship
in 7 weeks the customer feels good that he got it early. I learned
this in business but I REALLY learned this phenomenon when
my wife was 2 weeks late with our baby!!! ;-)

Hopefully your incident was an isolated case or a fluke or something.
The TSW is a great product. I can only imagine the torture you endured
thinking it would be here "today" day after day. Congrats on the ECCI.
Is it as good as everyone says?

Since all those messages you quoted in your post, Sean Higgins has
reached a satisfactory settlement of his problem, and Trevor Thomas had
the good grace and class to offer a public apology and explanation of
the situation here in the NG. That's the way to do business!

Hi Bart,

The whole mess was my fault in the first place and has taught me two
things, dont read RAS after a bad hair day<g> and if you do, make sure
that your brain is all the way in gear before you start typing :)!
