GP2 Sound Conflicts

After buying GP2 on the 19th of July (South Africa),
I have been frustrated by CONSTANT*** of the game.

I suspect it is my sound card that causes this conflict
because when I run      C:\>GP2\GP2 NOSOUND
the game works perfectly.

Sometime the game hangs right after the start of the race.
The game just stop and gives me a message typed all over the
screen saying "granular failure" or something like that.

I tried the usual (all possible combinations of IRQ and DMA
settings as well as Sound Blaster emulation. I also checked that I have enough

enough extended Memory 10 Mb and enough Conventional 580 k),with no success.

My sound card is a 'ProAudio Spectrum 16'
Has anybody had the similar problem. Please give me advice if you had.

Thanks.

I'm also using a PAS-16 with no problems on GP2. In fact, the sound is
great! Make sure you reboot in DOS mode if you are using Win95.

It could depend on what average you're using. The average may be
skewed if you use the mean because there could be a small number of
very dumb people.

I have the PAS+ and the sound works in DOS.  However, the "stereo"
effect of going over curbs seems to change.  Sometimes the sound comes
out the right speaker for right hand curbs and other times it seems to
come out the left.

I think that's Bob Dole's campaign slogan for the upcoming election!
At least he's keeping the NASCAR paintkit artists happy by trying to
give tobacco companies their "rightful" place in Winston Cup racing.
;)

My political offiliation?  The Sim Racing Party, of course!

Seems that the curb sound does switch tires from time
to time. I hear it too. Small matter, seeing as how
it's the only curb sounds in town...hehehe
