Minor issue (there are those as well)

Where is the option to change to Km's stead of miles. I may have
overlooked it, I may not, I don't know.

I hate multiplying everything by 1.62 when i'm doing 310 divided by 1.62
an hour (yep Hockenheim..)

It's worse than you think because a mile is actually 1.609 km

Let's see which is more accurate a change in 1kmph or 1mph?  The big
question is why not rpm's instead...more realistic to see those compared to
mph imo.

Workshop - utilities - menu setup - you'll find it there.

Huh? If you can't get 350 in Hocke your setup is worth sh... crap.

It's in the "Workshop". Change the speed unit to international standards
and you can concentrate on driving ;)

Why not just leave it as miles to begin with? measuring speed by
kilometres is wimpy, it may be the more modern way, but miles is more
macho, at least in racing anyway.

For example, when bragging about a cars acceleration people always say
how fast a car goes from 0 to 60 "mph", never do you hear them mention
kilometres. Same goes for top speeds, when you say a car is going
200mph it's easier to picture than saying it's going 320kph (or
whatever it translates to) kilometres just don't sound right in
racing.

LOL!

And your country was...?

I don't dispute you feel miles are "better". If you feel they're right,
you feel like it and that's it. But for most Europeans, klicks aren't a
"new" unit of measurement. Would you believe even Finnish military
aviation uses metres despite the international aviation language being
English?

Right, and saying you went 320 KM/h is a lot more impressive than
saying you went 200 Mph, eventhough it's equally fast :)

(Grin) It's certainly time that the UK got in line with the rest of
Europe on this one though.  I remember being stuck behind some poor
dutch guy driving on an English country lane and seeing a big sign
saying 30 he maintained a constant 30 kph for the next few miles.  God
did that seem slow.

Even Canada uses KMPH. What I don't get is why would the UK have
everything else in metric except road signs? You are officially
metric, right?

Since1830- just 170 years isn't long enough for some people to make
the change :-).

No, because kilometres are shorter than miles. For example, go out on
a highway and do 100km per hour, and then do 100mph, which of the two
is faster and more impressive? the answer - mph is. 100km an hour is
only about 60mph, so kilometeres are wimpier.

I'm from Canada and we've had the metric system here for 20 odd years,
however i still use mph when talking about speed, it just sounds
better, mph is still used far more when talking about speed and
racing, maybe those who think not are all just under 30 years of age.
