Autosim unpause suggestion

Autosim unpause suggestion

Here's an idea I had recently.

In these autosims we play (ICR2/GP2/Nascar etc) why not put
in a delay of a few seconds between when the sim is unpaused,
so that we can get our hands back on the controls before
the action restarts.

With things as they are now, there's a 50/50 chance of screwing the
pooch (for me anyway).  The wife gets pretty annoyed when I tell
her to wait for me to get into a safe place before I can pay
attention to what she's saying.

Cheers
Jason

GP2 already does this. If you pause or save a game, on the restart you
can have a 20 second replay. If you choose your***pit view, then it is
just like you are driving (because you were!). It certainly helps when
you unpause.

I disagree.  When the replay ends, the game goes paused again, and then
you have to press 'P' to unpause, whereupon the action immediately resumes.
That's how I recall it, and it is this instant return to action before I
get my hands back in position that gives me a problem.

I see what you getting at though, but unfortunately, that doesn't
really get at the root of the matter.  Thanks anyway
