Little Keyboard for the T1

by Kai Wesli » Wed, 17 Jan 1996 04:00:00

Hello all racing people.

I would like to ask, if someone has made a small keyboard,
which can be glued (screwed) on to the T1 for the different
buttons, you kinda sometimes need in ICR1/2/NASCAR, like Turbo
charge, front-/rear anti-roll-bars ...
If someone has, could he please e-mail me plans from it?

Thanks

Little Keyboard for the T1

Hi Kai,
I have been using a Suncom SFX gamepad to access the swaybars, boost,
pit commands (funtion keys),***pit display and pause. This pad is about
the size of a pack of kingsize cigarettes and has 48 programable keys
(4 sets of 12). It has its own onboard memory so it uses no system TSR but
still remembers it's programming during system shut downs. It plugs into the
keyboard so you can keep your gameport available for the wheel.
The best part is it's very, very easy to program and retails for $25 U.S.
This thing works well in Indy/NASCAR, a weapons control sys in flight
sims, shooters (Doom, etc..), pinball games and probably a lot of other
stuff I haven't tried (OMF).
