Thanks for posting that Jeff.  If you (or anyone else) hear of anyone
releasing a good tune with that I'd love to try it (or even beta test
it, for that matter).

I've done tuning on my own in the .cfg and .dat files but it seemed
like it was impossible to balance the grip, braking force, and weight
distribution in the cars to make it seem right.  Lowering the grip to
a level where the car drifts has the nice side effect of causing
InstaBrakeLock even with the braking pressure modifier as low as it
will go.  It also creates ridiculous understeer.  The final thing I
noticed was that even with the grip as low as the config files would
handle, the car refused to spin.  It seems to fishtail out a few feet
than magically snap back to center, I hope it's just something in the
weight distro or suspension that needs to be tuned and not an
auto-correcting cheat in the physics code to keep the cars straight.

Works OK for me.

All I've got to do now is figure it all out!

   <snip>

I haven't got it yet (it's supposed to grt to my local EB "any day now") but
I read somewhere (either the HG Forum or here) that if you turn off all aids
the cars will spin much more easily.

No they don't.. that was the biggest problem I was having with TIR,
way too easy to drive these cars on the limit.. maybe with some tweaks
this can become a fun game, but I found it very boring.

Weird.  I'm reinstalling it now, but before I had all aids turned off
and the grip set to 0.001 and I couldn't even provoke the Audi TT into
a spin intentionally.

hi,

i'm glad, you guys, have the same problem, so it's not me, the physics
just feel bad in this game. I even have the feeling that sometimes the
game turn the steering wheel for me.. i unchecked all the aids. The
game is very boring to drive, more over, the FF effects are inverted,
so i just cant drive straight even with FF off.

That's a shame because the game is SO beautiful ;o)

The sound is also superbe, but seems to have problem during race :(

Other Game, i tried NekTar and the physics is REALLY good !! i had lot
of fun driving the FWD MG , and the fantastic Turbo Japanese car , the
Formula Renault is great too !!!
