RBR Patch 1.01 released.

I tried numbers 1 and 2.  The version of DXTweak 2 that I have doesn't allow you
to reverse axes.  Perhaps there's another version floating around that I can
download?  I am quite sure that I have selected the correct controller options
in RBR, since I _can_ get my MOMO pedals to work.

Option #4 is moot as the TSW pedals do not have a control panel app.

I tried #3, but didn't keep the ped at halfway down thru the entire calibration,
as at some point the calibration routine asks you to depress the pedal.  I'll
try this though.

#5 may well work, but I just haven't had the gumption to do it, as I'm worried
that it will***up my other racing sims.

Option #3 didn't work either.  The axes is reversed.

RBR Patch 1.01 released.

by Jimste » Sun, 26 Sep 2004 16:15:55

Well it didn't fix my configuration... There was nothing wrong with it in
the first place.
I could use my ATI Radeon without any problems, sound was ok, my
thrustmaster FFB was working ok
But I decided to install this patch anyway (my way wheels wern't turning in
the replays)

Now it has crashed several times... So I decided to upgrade my FFB drivers
like they said in the readme of
the patch
So I removed the old ones, but that was a hard thing to do. It kept
automatically reinstalling my wheel.
So I decided to remove the drivers manually. And I removed all immersion
.dlls from my windows\system32\drivers directory.....
(I tought they were part of the drivers) Bad idea !!!

I can't install any driver now anymore because it is always asking for
immcpl.dll (and probably the rest of the drivers)
during the installation progress.
Ok, So I went to the immersion site, downloaded the latest Immersion desktop
drivers... But still no .dll files...
Can someone point me to a place where I can get those files back ????

Any help would be greatly appreciated....

TIA,

Jimster

Are the dll's not still in your wastebasket.

If you're using XP you could try a system restore.

Andi.

RBR Patch 1.01 released.

done a google for immcpl?
try going to run and type "sfc /scannow" then wait while it checks all
the 'important' files on your system to see if they're 'correct' and
will replace them if needed, and if they came with xp.

Thanks for the suggestions

I did google for, but apparently not much people looking for this file.
Apparently it is part of XP, The files were alreadyt from my pc, (bad habit
of using shift - del to delete files)
Yesterday I found a ftp site of immersion where I found an installation
package which used these files.

So I'm up and running again. Now how I can verify the version number of my
thrustmaster wheel ?
It always sees that the driver comes from immersion, and not thrustmaster.
Is this normal ?
Anyway RBR runs fine again, and doesn't crash anymore. And that's all that
matters.... ;-)

Thanks for the help,

Cheers,

Jimster

I don't have an answer to your main question, but I ended up in the same
boat you were...the game ran just fine for me except for the ATI
poly-tearing issue with AF/AA on, so I figured I'd give it an install.

Suddenly, started crashing every time I played, usually taking the whole
machine with it.   Since it has a no-dvd patch already in it, I just
left the DVD I was watching earlier in the drive.   I took it out and
left the drive empty, and now it hasn't crashed at all.

If anyone else is having crashes when they didn't before, that might be
the culprit...it certainly was in my case.
