Help on Replay/Setup data formats

by Gary Hama » Fri, 14 Jun 1996 04:00:00

I am interested in developing some utilities to review and edit the contents of
the replay and setup data files. I know that there are already utilities out
there that provide this functionality, but they seem to have problems with some
of the hawaii and converted tracks.

In order to get a jump start on the process, I was wondering if there was a
definition of the data structures used in these two files (*.rpy and *.stg)? Any
help would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, Papyrus does not make this information available, but Ed Martin
indicated that there would not be a problem if I posted a query for information
about the content of these files.

Gary,

If you get a hold of editrpy.zip you will find files in it which describe
the format of the replay files for Indycar, Indycar2 and Nascar.

You can get editrpy.zip at http://www.millcomm.com/~corrigan/editrpy.html
