Before I could race on VROC with NO details whatsoever... I sincerely
mean none. It sucked. I don't know how much detail you can run, but my
stunk. I found it much more difficult ("depth" perception seemed
different and worse) to put in competitive, consistent laps.
Now I can train and race with the same amount of detail on (still using
the Thriller). It's GREAT! I can now run through the chicane at Monaco
flat out and NOT hit anything! :-) And I can repeat it lap after lap.
Something about detail off made it tougher to go through there.
If you raced regularly with NO detail, you are unbelieveably fast...
When you upgrade, although you might not magically go faster, I think
you will find like me, that consistency will be easier.
BTW, my findings might be caused by my training with most details on,
yet racing with none. All of my brake markers, etc, were lost.
