Well... I have the league for you. GPLregulars... we race 67FV cars
every
two weeks and we have a great nucleus of fun drivers... old and
young...
fast and slow.

If you have never raced FV... it's much better and a lot more fun than
F1
cars. The cars are slower, the grids are tighter, the races are closer.

Some of the GPLregulars have been driving FV cars for 12 seasons.

With the GPLregulars, we have a unique scoring and points system that
handicaps faster drivers with slower cars and rewards slow drivers with

faster cars. You aren't stuck in the same car every race.

The GPLregulars race 67FV cars every other Thursday at 7:30 PM EST  and
the
competition for the  Huepenbecker Cup, The Alex Zanardi Award and the
Paul
Newman Cup begins on September 8th (Season 13).

Someday I'll start trying to join the 500 second club (under 8:20
at the ring). My best now is a 8:21, only one second, but it's been
a long time. Last time I tried it was a struggle to get under 8:30
and no spins, so new strategy next time, an easier setup to drive,
since I'm giving away 45 seconds to the world record pace, I shouldn't
have to push all that hard and instead just focus on the line with
a more conservative setup.

I can do sub 6:00 in F1C99-02 RH2004 mod though.

    Try an FD car.

What is an FD car, the middle level one? I'm not the GPL expert that
you are rms.

    It's a F2 engine in a F1 chassis, and is great for learning/re-learning
the ring.
