Anyone know of any online stores that still carry it?  I sold mine
ages ago but since there's never been a sequel and I'm bored with
Rallisport already I'd like to give it another go. =)

shipping...from some guy in California--I got it in Wisconsin with 3-4 days...

says...

There were sequels (of sorts), and there are a couple of places in the UK
you can get it for free plus 2.95 postage and handling.

It's still far and away my favorite rally game, particularly with the
physics tweak util (forget the name), and some of the add-on cars.  BTW, it
looks awesome with eDimensional's 3D glasses!

Make sure you get that physics update - it transforms the game and it is an
official patch. I remember the readme file well...

It started off by saying something like: 'The physics are perfect. Everyone
keeps complaining to us about them, like grass slowing the car down, and
cars rolling the wrong way off of banks and hills. We reiterate that the
physics have no problems whatsoever. Here is the physics editing patch. If
you find some physics settings which seem better than ours, please email
them to us.'

Classic. Could have taken lessons from Geoff Crammond, except these guys
actually released the physics patch...

Guys I've owned the game before, I'm just trying to find a new copy of
it somewhere. =)

It's cool to see I'm not alone in my enthusiasm however.  Steve, what
do you think of Rallisport so far?  The tracks/lack of***pit view
are crap, as is the unlockable gameplay (I paid $50 for a game, I want
all the god damned cars and tracks, thanks) but I really like the
physics especially the way it handles different road surfaces.  If
Rally Trophy handled different surfaces as well as RSC it wouldn't be
on the shelf.

Also, someone somewhere needs to find a way to use the tracks in Mobil
1 in another sim.  As wimpy as the damage models are in most
short-rally games, they'd at least be semi-noticeable on 20km stages
that are barely a car width wide.

Jason,

You can read what I think of Rallisport in Motor Trend...if they ever deign
to publish the article.  (It was a review of the console game, but from what
I could see, there's very little difference betw. the console ver. and the
PC game).  I had it on my PC's hard drive for only as long as it took to run
a couple of stages & then delete it.  Mobil 1 rules.  When I get bored w.
it, I just change all the physics around and run the whole Championship
season again.  I've done this a half-dozen times, but only won the C'ship
once.  Great fun!

(I've also tried RC multi-player on my LAN, but it's amazing how much of a
frame-rate hit it takes with just one other car in view.  It was extremely
well optimized for one car, tho!)

I had to find Mobil 1 on Ebay.  But what I want to know...have they EVER
finished that 2002 mod they were working on?  I'd think it would be great to
have the field updated.  Heck then Goy and Ed could drive Petta's car!!!

Somehow I missed this post.  Looks like they ship to the US, yay!

I don't think Magnetic Fields ever finished any sequels, altho the game
seems to have been sold under at least one other name.  MF had a cryptic
msg. on their website (http://www.magneticfields.co.uk) which hinted at a
new rally game, but nothing has obtained as yet.  Or you might try asking
here: http://www.activescore.com/rally/rc.html
