Hi,
I am currently in the process of upgrading my PC and tried to burn N4demo
onto a CD but after 37% it gives a read.write error. I tried several times
all with the same problem.
Has anyone else had this problem or know a cure? any help greatfully
appreciated.

Eldred, blank CD's cost me ten cents each. Downloading the 80 meg N4 demo
takes many hours on my 56k dialup connection (no dsl or cable available
where I live). Copying it to a CD makes sense to me.

Gave me no problems. I keep a CDR open to back up all the demos, and
enhancements I download. Using direct CD I just move the stuff accross to
that from my HD. Never had any problems with this system.

Ah, ok. That makes sense. I have a high-speed connection at work, do I do my
downloading there... But ten cents - from where? I need to find those...<g>

Sounds like you have a corrupted sector or something on your Hard Drive.

Try doing a scandisk, then try backing it up again
