Does anyone know how to enable com port 3 and 4
on gp2?
Mine are greyed out and everything I try they still stay greyed out!
Any help appreciated.

I got the same problem. I know there is a problem with some DOS based games
reading com port 3 or 4 if the IRQ is greater than 7.
On a side note, I have now given up with modem play on GP2, even though my
brother and I are using PII 266's with 33.6 sportster modems. If your lucky
enough to connect and transfer the data, your likely to freeze for 2 seconds
in to a lap and crash into a wall. Very poor coding. Still Microprose
promised patches and updates, but where are they. NO WHERE.
Anyway hopefully ubisofts F1 will be a lot better, and with 3DFX.

On the gp2 cd there is a utility called comsetup, copy it to the gp2
directory and go to the dos prompt and type comsetup/h for info.
Basically comsetup tries to fool gp2 into thinking any other com port than
com2, *is* com2, IYSWIM?
Your other option is to physically change your modem to com2, via changing
the jumpers on the m/b or via the bios set-up.
