Formerly known as Addison Racing International, Koss Ferrari has formed a
team. Former ARI owner, Steven Daniels, will lead the F1GPrs team in
Formula One, with former Addison Renault driver, Rich Andes, and rookie
Ashley Johanesson.
"ARI will still be involved, but only as a sponsor. It's function will be
to keep webpages up-to-date, and keep drivers advised of new changes in
Koss," said Daniels.
"We want to keep it simple this year, and just race Formula One,"said Rich
Andes. "That's what we know, and what we accel at."
Most people will remember Steven Daniels afrom F1GPrs 1996, where he stired
up some rivalry with current Zero-Volvo driver, Martin Vanuenhuizen. "He's
a great guy, and a very talented driver. I look forward to racing with him
again in '97," said Daniels.
Daniels moved to Indycar (NWSICT for ICR2) and did well, with a 2nd in qual
at Austraila, and 2nd in race at Long Beach, with a mear 8 second margin of
victory. "Indycar was a great experiance, and I hope to take some of the
knowledge from that series and apply it to Formula One this year."
Zero-Volvo, which 50% of the staff are past Addison Racing International
drivers, have yet to announce thier intent of racing in f1GPrs. "Again, I
look forward to racing against them, I hope to beat them, I hope to end the
hostility we had in the past, and look to the future of Formula One,"
remarked Daniels.
Koss is going with the Ferrari V-12 this year. The team has said that it
lacks torque in low-speed corners, but overall, is alot more powerful than
last years RS9 V-12 Renault engine.
