Quake Rally -its out!

This is so weird, you guys just HAVE to check it out.
A racing game based on the Quake engine...
It can't really be called a sim, but figured it might be of interest.
I've only messed with it a little bit, but its pretty cool.

All the Quake sites should have it.
BTW, there isn't any GLQuake support for it yet.

Well, I downloaded Qrally and it is really cool.  The game is not really
intended to be a sim, but the physics modeling and inertia effects
require good car control and keep the game engaging, but still in the
arcade realm.  The cars certainly aren't invincible like in many arcade
games.  Nope, one little mistake and you see wheels flying everywhere
and you must start again.  You get damaged when you hit stuff too.
There are jumps, guns, and other cool stuff.

As far as the glquake support, it DOES work with glquake, but the
textures sometimes do funny things, so the writers recommended waiting
for a later fix.  It is quite playable, though, in glquake, vquake, and
winquake software mode as well.  If you like quake (read: already own
quake), it is definately worth the download!

The multiplayer possibilities (esp. if you like I76) are certainly tasty
prospects to look forward to!

GO GET IT!
