I'm surprised that more people aren't talking about this game!!  I only
have the demo but I'm totally in love with it!  The scenery is fantastic
(sparse like some say, yes, but still a sight to behold!).  Just moving the
view to where your about 50 feet away, close to the ground and a little off
to the side looking at the bike from behind, and go screamin across the
desert pulling some wheelies... it just looks soooo great (my entire family
loves it).  The way the sky is so blue, and the shadows looks great, I just
can't play it enough.  I'm very impressed and this is the next game purchase
I'll make for sure.  Just bought Red Baron II today, so this will have to
wait a little.  Why doesn't anyone talk about this?  Motoracer is still
great in it's own right, but this has all the cool rider movements and the
bikes supension, and the great sounds.

Just trying to stir up some comments...

Well, I can say that I bought the game a week ago, and have raced on
the Zone every night since.  In fact, when I installed the game, I spent
all of about 5 minutes racing offline (just to make sure the controls
worked, etc.) before checking out the action on the Zone.  Now that MS
has "upgraded" the Zone to support 8 player races it's even better.

On the down side, the game doesn't seem to support analog throttle and
braking.  The Y axis is used for front/rear balance.

It's NOT a sim.  It IS fun.  Give it a try.

You'll find rookies going full throttle around the tracks (crashing
horribly as a result), and the more experienced have discovered that
careful use of the brakes will improve laptimes significantly.

The track editor is simple to use, but limits you to basic SuperCross
tracks, however there is an addon for the track editor which will let
you make "Canyon" tracks.  You can find it at FTP.RAINBO.COM.

snip-lots of good stuff

It is a blast, although I get motion sickness from sims, and this one really
is going to be tough on me.  :-)

Just a quick review by me for now I guess as I'm on the way out the door.
I've ridden motocross bikes going back to 1981. My first bike was a Honda
XR80 (loved it). I eventually graduated to a Honda CR250. Motocross Madness
is definitely a sim, which also is a lot of fun. Real mototcross racing is
about the most fun I've ever had (with a machine) so fun=reality in this
case. This is the first mortorcycle game which actually gave me the feeling
I get being on a real bike. Jumps at high speed and full throttle ARE
exaggerated (choice by developers) but some self control with the throttle
can eliminate that. Otherwise, it has a great feel to it. I do wish the
controls were different, and a motorcycle (handlebars) controller would
really be sweet with MCM (anyone know of one?)

Tremendous graphics (smooth as hell), sound, and the seperate bike/rider
physics are something special.

I'm waiting for the full version to reach my door, and then some time to
really dive into it, but as of now, it sure seems like a sim to me in the
major areas of motocross racing. Luckily, the simulation of a crushed groin
area was left out.
