Motocross Madness is Out @Best Buy nanoreview

I went to Best Buy today for some other reason, and I seen a Best Buy drone
carry a set of Motocross Madness boxes to the software shelves.  I was
anticipating this program for a while and was surprised it was out already!
I snagged a copy just as it hit the shelves...

I just played this game for about 4 hours, and I think I'll keep this game
with some reservations.  I particularly like the "stunt quarry" portion of
the game, where this area is whoop dejour (things I wouldn't try in real
life anyway).

Here's what I liked:
1.  Great 3D terrain model, texture, and shading
2.  Interesting use of shifting weight for launches
3.  Decent physics (at least it's better than Moto Racer, although I like
that game also).
4.  Have more freedom on where I want to go (especially in the stunt
quarry).

Here's what I think needs to be fixed desperately!
1.  Give me a choice of an analog throttle!!!!!  I tried every option
combination I could think of, but I couldn't get an analog throttle to work
(I have a Ultraracer PC controller).  I'm sorry M$, but I don't ride a cycle
either with the throttle off or cracked wide open!!!!!  I'm waiting for a
patch...

Here's what I though could be improved:
1.  More visual clues or scenery in the Baja area.  At least some scrub
brush, rain ruts, tire tracks or something.  In other tracks, the detail is
OK.
2.  I can't lean the bike over the way I want it most of the time.  I though
the controls were awkward especially in the supercross area.

There's much more which can be said about this game, but this is my 0.02.

Cool Deal!

MotoRacer 2 is out in Demo form. You can download it from the PC Gamer
Magazine site.

Off-Road.com will have a "Head to Head Server" up for all off-road
motorsports games sometime in October. The server will be located in Las
Vegas on a fast UUNET pipe so the average ping times in the US will be
close.

We'll have an announcement up soon on this.

BAJA!?!

Do they include the all to infamous "***ey traps" that the locals like to
create?

What does it use as a Head-Head server?
